On 27 August 2020, landmines planted by an unknown armed group exploded near Kaba Jeb town in Deir-ez-Zor countryside, injuring seven QDW members, one of them is a commander, while the other is on of the leader's relatives, while they were sweeping the area. No fatalities were reported.
