Currently, the main train station in Bielefeld (Germany) is extensively cordoned off. According to information from BILD, a specific bomb threat was reported to the police in the afternoon. The police have surrounded the main train station with armed officers and the premises are currently being searched. A public announcement from the Federal Police is advising travelers at the station: “All individuals currently behind the barricade at the main train station should opt for alternative means of transportation. There will be no train service from Bielefeld for the time being.” Trains destined for Bielefeld or passing through the station are being redirected or making stops at other train stations.
