On 3 December 2023, in Kha Ywea village of Waw township (Bago district, Bago-East region), the Myanmar military based in Ah Htet Kwayt Gyi and Let Pan villages fired 120mm and 80mm artillery rounds into the village at around 12 pm. Artillery shells landed in Htin Te ward, damaging a clinic, three monasteries, and two houses. Casualties unknown.
