On 3 December 2023, the Nigerian army carried out a drone strike and dropped a bomb on Muslim worshippers who were observing Maulud procession at Tudun Biri in Igabi LGA (Kaduna), killing between 85 to 150 civilians. The Nigerian army claimed that the strike was targeted at militants who were mixed up with the civilians.
