Around 5 December 2023 (between 4 December - 6 December), ENDF conducted a drone strike against Fano in a place near Wegeltena (Delanta, South Wello, Amhara), killing at least 10 individuals including civilians. Civilians were killed when the second-round drone attack was committed at the same place against people attempting to provide emergency services to Fano soldiers attacked by the first drone.
