On 5 December 2023, ENDF conducted a drone strike against Fano at a place between Menz and the town of Merabite (location coded to Merhabete, North Shewa, Amhara), killing ten people including civilians. Additional three drone attacks were conducted at the same place, and it is unknown how many individuals are killed in these later drone attacks.
