On 6 December 2023, between Htan Ta Pin village and Mohnyin university (coded as Htan Ta Pin) (Mohnyin township, Mohnyin district, Kachin state), the Myanmar military fired heavy weapons, fell on the town detour road and killed a 7-year-old child. Two children and a mother were also injured.
