On 7 December 2023, at least 9 suspected Dawlah Islamiyah - Hassan Group militants were killed by bombs dropped by aircraft and artillery fire conducted by the military at the group's hideouts in a marshland near Kabacan and M'lang towns (Cotabato, Soccsksargen). 5 to 10 militants were wounded. The first attack occurred along the Liguasan Delta near Barangay Dalgan (Pagalungan, Maguindanao del Sur, Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao) (coded separately) and the subsequent attacks near Kabacan and M'lang towns. About a hundred families fled to safer grounds. 9 fatalities were divided among the two events (4 fatalities coded for this event).
