Projectile event in Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao, Maguindanao del Sur area, Philippines on Thu 7th December 2023

On 7 December 2023, at least 9 suspected Dawlah Islamiyah - Hassan Group militants were killed by bombs dropped by aircraft and artillery fire conducted by the military at the group's hideouts along the Liguasan Delta near Barangay Dalgan (Pagalungan, Maguindanao del Sur, Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao). 5 to 10 militants were wounded. The first attack occurred near Barangay Dalgan, and the subsequent attacks happened in a marshland near Kabacan and M'lang towns (Cotabato, Soccsksargen) (coded separately). About a hundred families fled to safer grounds. 9 fatalities were divided among the two events (5 fatalities coded for this event).
