On 8 December 2023, unknown militants targeted the headquarters of the Iraqi National Security Service with rockets or mortars in Baghdad city. The strike damaged vehicles and buildings but there were no casualties. The strikes were launched from Abu Nawas Street in Karadah. National Security was reportedly hit by mistake.
