On 4 September 2020, 2 Taliban militants were killed by Afghan military airstrikes on a Taliban camp in Qaysar (Chilgazy) district center, Faryab. VoJ said 4 Afghan security personnel held hostages by the Taliban were wounded and didn't report any fatalities among their fighters.
