WWII Artillery Shell Found near Kidderminster

A controlled explosion was carried out on 09/12/2023 after a suspected live World War Two (WWII) artillery shell was found in a field in Worcestershire.

The Unexploded Ordnance (UXO) was found in a field off Lowe Lane, Wolverley, near Kidderminster.  An Army Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team attended the scene and carried out a controlled detonation, rendering the device safe.
