ADEN, Yemen, Aug. 13 (Xinhua) -- The pro-government forces defused more than 15 Houthi-laid landmines in Yemen's Red Sea port city of Hodeidah on Thursday, a military official told Xinhua. The engineering teams of the pro-government forces began a large-scale operation to dismantle anti-armor and individual mines in the areas between the Red Sea Mills and the air defense base in Hodeidah, the local military official said on condition of anonymity. The joint pro-government forces were in the process of clearing the liberated areas of the mines left by the Houthi-militias before their withdrawal during the past years, according to the official.
