On 7 August 2019 around 9 am, a Taliban suicide bomber detonated a car bomb in Kabul city, targeting the police HQ of PD6 and a nearby military school/recruitment center. 14-18 people, including 10 civilians and 4 police officers, were killed and up to 145 wounded, including up to 92 civilians. There was shooting reported after the explosion, but no indication that it was between two actors. The Taliban claimed tens of security forces were killed. 15 total fatalities coded to include the bomber. SVBIED
