Missile event in Yemen on Mon 27th November 2023

On 27 November 2023, suspected Houthi forces launched at least one ballistic missile in the Gulf of Aden that fell 5 nautical miles off the Israeli-linked MV CENTRAL PARK chemical tanker and 10 nautical miles off the US Navy destroyer USS Mason. Initial reports that were later rectified claimed that two missiles were launched. The incident took place hours after the USS Mason thwarted an attempted hijacking of the MV CENTRAL PARK by Somali nationals in the area. One source claimed that Houthi forces launched the missile from Al Qusayr camp northwest of Radaa city in Al Bayda governorate.
