According to local authorities in the Mexican state of Guerrero, at least 13 people were killed in a criminal attack on October 23. rnrnThe events occurred in the municipality of Coyuca de Benítez, part of the Costa Grande region of Guerrero. The EFE news agency reports that the attack occurred after 14:00 local time. rnrnMost of the fatalities are police officers. According to initial reports, the officers were near the town of El Papayo, in the aforementioned municipality, when they were attacked by gunmen.
