Projectile event in Shan-North, Pa Laung Self-Administered Zone area, Myanmar on Mon 20th November 2023

On 20 November 2023, in Namhsan township (Pa Laung Self-Administered Zone, Shan-North state), the military from Namhsan town fired artillery rounds 15 times, from Maing Ngawt base 15 times and from Kyaukme base 2 times between 12 pm to 2:50 pm. Some of the rounds landed in the Pang Nein village, hitting and injuring a woman. Consecutively, the military from the IB-105 base fired artillery rounds at around 1:36 pm and some of the rounds landed in Nam Taung village, hitting and killing a 70-year-old woman. Also, the military from Namhsan town fired artillery rounds at around 11:50 pm and three of the rounds landed in the Ong Ma Sum village, hitting and killing a 14-year-old and injuring another 14-year-old, an 18-year-old, a 48-year-old and a 50-year-old.
