On 17 August 2019 at night, an IS-claimed suicide bomber detonated his explosives at a Shiite wedding party at Shahr-e Dubai Hall in PD6 of western Kabul city. IS claimed that other fighters detonated a car bomb once security forces had arrived. 80 people plus the bomber were killed, including those who succumbed to injuries later, and 182 others were injured.
