On 21 November 2023, in Aing Gyi village (Pakokku township, Pakokku district, Magway region), the Myanmar military stationed in Myit Chay town fired heavy weapons indiscriminately around 4 pm without the presence of battle, fell into the village and killed a 38-year-old woman. Religious buildings and some houses were also destroyed.
