An exchange of fire was reported between the militants and the Security Forces (SFs) during a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) on specific information about the presence of militants in the area at Parigam village of Newa in Pulwama District of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) on November 11, reports Daily Excelsior. After the initial exchange of fire, no contact was established with the hiding militants. It is suspected that the militants managed to give a slip to the SFs.|The Village Defence Guards (VDGs) opened fire, observing suspicious movement in upper Dhangri village in Rajouri District of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) on November 12, reports Daily Excelsior. No one was injured in the firing that took place around 4 a.m. in upper Dhangri. The VDGs fired around two dozen rounds upon noticing some suspicious movement outside a house in the village, the officials said.
