On November 8, a civilian was killed in a mine explosion caused by war remnants from previous wars in the village of Akhtari in Maywand District of Kandahar Province, reports Hasht-e Subh Daily. Meanwhile, on November 9, the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) said that two-thirds of the 401 districts in Afghanistan are contaminated with explosive devices.
