On 7 November 2023, a suspected Houthi landmine detonated in front of the farm of a tribal sheikh in As Safra district (coded to Ash Shawati) (Sadah) injuring 1 doctor and his son. The source noted that a Houthi leader planted the landmine targeting the tribal leader due to a land dispute between the Houthi leader and the tribe the sheikh was representing.
