On 7 November 2023, a car bomb planted by an unidentified group targeted the convoy of IRG Chief of Staff Saghir bin Aziz by the Qammad station in Al Burayimah (Marib, Marib). The explosion took place as the Chief of Staff was on his way from Al Abr in Hadramawt to Marib city and resulted in the injury of 3 from the IRG convoy and 4 civilian passersby including children. The Chief of Staff survived the incident. The IRG suspected Houthi forces of being behind the incident.
