On 4 November 2023, an IED planted by unidentified gunmen targeting a regime air force intelligence directorate-affiliated headquarters in the city of Deir-ez-Zor - Al-Joura-Al-Thawra detonated, killing a regime air force intelligence commander and injuring his assistant. The commander was previously harassed by regime 4th division members over smuggling-related disputes. 1 fatality.
