On 4 November 2023, in Kyu Inn village (coded as Kyu Inn (East)) (Phyu township, Taungoo district, Bago-East region), the Myanmar military fired heavy weapons around 4:30 am, fell into the village and killed an 8-year-old child. A 14-year-old girl and a mother were also injured. Locals claimed that the military fired heavy weapons without any provocation.
