On 4 November 2023, in Kawkareik town (Kawkareik district, Kayin state), the Myanmar military IB-97 fired heavy weapons around 12 pm, fell near a house in Shwe Kyat Min street in No.1 ward and severely injured five family members (a 3-year-old child, two 25-year-old, 58-year-old and 65-year-old women). They were sent to the Kawkareik district hospital to receive treatment.
