On 7 November 2023, in Ta Naw Kyun village of Waw township (Bago district, Bago-East region), three rounds of 120 mm heavy artillery shells fired by the Myanmar military troops from Artillery Battalion-310 landed in the village and killed four local civilians at around 2 pm. The shelling also injured six others. Eleven Media Group reported that the shelling was fired by the local PDF groups.
