On 7 November 2023, in the west of Moe Bye town (Pekon township, Taunggyi district, Shan-South state), the military (IB-422) fired artillery rounds and one of the rounds landed near an IDP camp. The military fired a total of 30 artillery rounds within 2 days (7 - 8 November). There were no casualties.
