On 7 November 2023, in Thein Za Yat town of Kyaikto township (Thaton district, Mon state), a local PDF group carried out two drone strikes on the Myanmar military troops stationed at the General Administration Department (GAD) office. Khit Thit Media reported that the drone strikes killed military soldiers and injured 10 others.
