Pakistan - 4 killed in Tank joint operation The Tank police and law-enforcement personnel killed four most-wanted militants in joint operations in various villages of the district and recovered caches of arms from their possession, the police said on Thursday. According to a press release issued by the Tank district police officer (DPO) office, the forces launched the operation after gathering intelligence from Wazir Kalay, Ghandoy Kalay, Biltonabad, Chisan Kach, Muzli Kalay, Dabra and other areas about the movement route of militants. The forces targeted them in Wazir Kalay and in an encounter four most-wanted militants were killed and several others were injured. “One of the militants has been identified as Shoaib Kundi, while the identity of other militants has not yet been ascertained,” the press release said. The press release said that the militants were involved in various activities against the state. While retreating, the militants took away the bodies to two of the dead. During the operation, three submachine guns (SMGs) and a large quantity of ammunition were also recovered, it added.
