Unexploded artillery shell found in Bayburt – Kuzey Ekspres During the renovation works of the stone bridge built on the Çoruh River in Bayburt’s Zahit District, the construction equipment operator noticed that there were artillery shells in the area. After the operator notified the police, the teams arrived at the scene and took security measures in the area. Bomb disposal experts and crime scene investigation teams investigated the area where the unexploded bullet was found. The artillery shell was taken to the military area for controlled detonation.
