IED event in Cameroon on Mon 6th November 2023
6th November 2023
At least sixteen people lost their lives on Friday in an attack by the terrorist group Boko Haram in the Far North region of Cameroon. Testimonies from members of vigilance committees on the spot report that the victims were traders returning from the market on tricycles. According to local sources, these innocent people were trapped by an improvised mine laid by Boko Haram fighters. Four other people were injured in the explosion. It was reported that Boko Haram members had cleverly concealed the improvised explosive device in a hole dug in the middle of the road regularly used by villagers to get to the market. The incident took place in Limani, in the commune of Mora, in the department of Mayo-Sava, near the border with Nigeria.
