On 3 November 2023, militants (coded as TTP) conducted an explosion targeting a police patrol at Tank Ada area in Dera Ismail Khan city (KP). At least six persons were killed and 20 others including students were left injured in the explosion. Investigators are yet to ascertain if the explosion was a suicide attack or IED explosion.
