On 28 October 2023, in Shwebo town (Shwebo township, Shwebo district, Sagaing region), a combined force of local defense forces attacked Myanmar military troops and police with three grenades while they were having drinks in a house in No.10 ward at around 6:40 pm. The combined force includes the Shwebo District PDF (battalion 23), the Naung Yoe Army, the Shwebo Tiger, the Revolution Soldiers LPDF, and the Sheinmakar Area People's Defense Force. Five military troops including a police inspector were killed.
