On 28 October 2023, in Daik-U township (Bago district, Bago-East region), a combined force of the Bago District PDF (battalion 3701 - company 5), the Daik- U Defense Force and the Bago PDF (PaKaPha) attacked Myanmar military troops at the Than Lan gate with two rounds of 40mm grenade launcher at around 6 am. A military troop sustained severe injuries.
