On 29 October 2023, in Kya Paing village of Monywa township (Monywa district, Sagaing region), two rounds of heavy artillery shells fired by Pyu Saw Htee landed in the village at around 9 pm. The shelling injured seven local civilians, including an 8-year-old girl. The girl lost one of her arms.
