On 30 October 2023, in Kyet Hmway Hnoke area (Sinbaungwe township, Thayet district, Magway region), a combined force of the Sinbaungwe PDF (PaKaPha) and their allied forces attacked 20 military soldiers, police and the Sinbaungwe township minister, who came to defuse the mines, with mines on the Koe Pin - Thar Ga Ya road. There were 5 fatalities, including the minister and 7 injuries on the military and police side.
