On 31 October 2023, Hamas militants fired barrages of rockets toward southern Israel, including the Hof Ashkelon Regional Council, around Karmiyya (Ashqelon, HaDarom). Three direct hits were reported in the area, presumably around Karmiyya, including one missile that hit a barn. No injuries were reported.
