On 3 November 2023, Russian forces carried out a missile attack (Iskander-M) and hit Ukrainian forces (128th separate mountain assault brigade) stationed in one of the frontline settlements of Zaporizhia region (coded to Shcherbaky, Zaporizhia region). According to Ukrainian sources, 19 Ukrainian soldiers were killed, including high-ranking officers, and over 50 were wounded. Also an unknown number of civilians were injured.
