On 21 October 2023, a bomb planted by Malay Muslim separatists went off at a light pole in Sa Ring village, Khosit, Tak Bai (Narathiwat), causing damage to ten electrical poles and obstructing the road. There were no injuries or fatalities. This incident was one of a series of six attacks in Narathiwat on the same day which coincided with the upcoming anniversary of the tragic Tak Bai incident in 2004.
