On 22 October 2023, near Kan Taw village (Pakokku township, Pakokku district, Magway region), the combined force of the Pakokku Special Task Force (PaKaPha) company - 3, People's Defense Force - Pakokku Township (PaKaPha) company - 1, People's Defense Force - Pakokku District battalion - 13 and Kamma Underground PDF attacked the three Myanmar military trucks around 9:30 am on the Pakokku-Kamma road with eight remote explosives. Eight military soldiers were killed on the spot and another one died later in a hospital and many were injured.
