On 22 October 2023, in Hpoe Ta village (Kyauktaga township, Bago district, Bago-East region), the military (IB-264) based in Pain Za Lote fired a total of 40 artillery rounds on Hpoe Ta and Chauk Te Su villages from 11 am to 10:17 pm and hit and destroyed a monastery, a generator and a tractor in Hpoe Ta village. The military also conducted airstrikes by firing machine guns from a helicopter at around 2:40 pm on Hpoe Ta village five times and between Hope Ta and Daung Moet villages two times. Casualties unknown.
