On 23 October 2023, in Wetlet township (Shwebo district, Sagaing region), a combined force of the Theik Di Shin Area People's Defense Force and six other allied forces attacked a military convoy of 80 soldiers, who were firing indiscriminately to take injured soldiers out of the area where fighting occurred previously, with two clusters of six land mines near an irrigation canal. 2 military soldiers were injured.
