On 23 October 2023, in Taw Kyaung Pauk (Middle) village (Kyaukkyi township, Bago district, Bago-East region), the military stationed in Nat Than Kwin village fired and in Kone Chaung Wa village fired four artillery rounds at the village between 8 to 9:30 pm. Some of them landed on a monastery, hitting and injuring a 12-year-old boy and a 52-year-old woman.
