On 26 August 2019 at 1pm, a Taliban-planted roadside mine detonated on a police van in the Joy Lahore area of Arghandab district, Kandahar. 1 police officer was killed and a policeman serving as his bodyguard was injured. The Taliban claimed to have killed 5.
