The Police arrested three members, identified as Anmol Singh, Karandeep Masih, and Jagroop Singh of an inter-state arms smuggling gang in Fatehgarh Churian Village in the Batala area of Gurdaspur District of Punjab, reports The Tribune on October 23. Meanwhile, the Police recovered 11 pistols — six .32 bore and five .30 bore pistols — along with magazines and 15 cartridges, INR 2 Lakh in cash and one motorcycle, the suspects confessed to receiving money via 'hawala' from their United States (US) based associates namely Kirandeep Singh Randhawa and Jarmanjit Singh to buy weapons from Madhya Pradesh.
