Police arrested Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) cadre, identified as Sodi Mangi (24), and three ‘militia’ (people’s army of the Maoists) members, Madakam Linga (24), Madakam Ramaiah (50), and Kurasama Bhimaiah, during a combing operation in the forest area of Gollaguppa village outskirts under Yetapaka Police Station limits in Alluri Sitharama Raju District of Andhra Pradesh on October 18, reports deccanchronicle.com. Police seized two detonators, one cordex wire, a small battery, 10 iron pieces, and 10 meters of electrical wire from the possession of the Maoists. Rampachodavaram Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) K Maheswar Reddy told that Sodi Mangi joined the Maoist party as a member in 2018 with the encouragement of Kunta Local Organising Squad (LOS) ‘commander’ Soyam Kama.
