On 16 October 2023, in Chon Inn village (Nyaunglebin township, Bago district, Bago-East region), the Myanmar military (IB-264) under LIB-20 based in Pein Za Loke village and the military stationed at Taw Wi village monastery and Shwe Kyi creek fired 81mm artillery rounds four times into nearby areas at around 9:30 pm which landed on a house, injuring a man and two women. Two cattle were also killed.
