On 16 October 2023, in Nyaung Pin Gyi Su village (Khin-U township, Shwebo district, Sagaing region), the Myanmar military planted a landmine near the Mu Tein Creek bridge and injured a 35-year-old man. His leg was cut off by an explosion while returning to the village to carry food provisions.
