On 16 October 2023, in the rural area of Puerto Asis municipality (Putumayo), a farmer lost his leg after stepping on a landmine planted by an unidentified armed group in the Vegas de Pinuna vereda. There is presence of the Carolina Ramirez FARC dissident group and Frontier Command in the area. There were no fatalities.
